Textile Hall Memorabilia Donations Needed
The Greenville Textile Heritage Society is developing a Textile Hall permanent display and is seeking donation of any items related to the original Textile Hall on West Washington Street and the later Textile Expo Center on North Pleasantburg Drive, and The Southern Textile Expositions and American Textile Machinery Expos held in Greenville. Items needed include any memorabilia, photographs of exposition exhibits, programs from any textile-related as well as non-textile events held in the facilities. Mill Hill Stories Requested
Mark Stewart has requested that individuals send their Mill Village Stories to Mark Stewart

Recent donation made by J. Murray McConnell of various sized tool boxes, tools and instruments used by his father and grandfather at the Woodside Mill in Greenville.

Donation made during our 2009 Textile Heritage Week Celebration at the Upcountry Museum by Stan Morris. Stan made the donation of 6 Poe Mill script tokens ranging in value from 5 cents to one dollar. Mr. Darrell Allred, Stan's uncle and former employee of Poe, who now lives in Greensboro had previously owned the coins. The coins were issued during the 1930's Depression for employees to use at the Poe Company Store.
